This is a black Smartcar infront of the Palace Bar at the Horton Grand. It is located on Island Avenue which is reduced to one lane in front of the hotel. On the other side of the Smartcar is the Aubergine Backstage. The building where the Aubergine is located had at one time been a theater. The glossy paint of this Smartcar allows for a nice reflection. In the photo with the Aubergine in the back ground you can see the Horton Grand Palace Bar in the reflection. All pictures were taken on 29 May 2009.

Today I saw two black smart cars pass each other in the street. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the event. But both drivers smiled at each other broadly. It is amazing what a personal relationship we have with our cars.
Sometimes it helps to see a car next to something else to get an idea of size. This San Diego MTS makes this silver Smart Car look a little like a toy.
Living in San Diego is a car whatchers dream. There are all of the newest and most expensive modles. But there are also lots of old cars that are loving perserved and old clunkers just hanging on by paper clips and chewing gum. But I am especially lucky because there is a parking lot near me that used by people who are going to the Padre's stadium, the Gaslamp Quater, and the trolley. This gem a new orange Smart Car was on this lot. I especially like the small wheels.
I found this white Smart Car downtown. It has a Humane Society ribbon sticker on it. The seat covers also had a dog theme. It was parked just in front of the Main Branch of the San Diego Public Library, 820 E St., San Diego, CA 92101-6416.
This is a black Smart Car was found on Third Avenue between Island Avenue and Market Street. The car is parked perpendicularly which is a trick that I did not know it could do and must be pretty useful in urban evirons. The car is parked accross from the Ideal Hotel. The cuurent occupant of the Ideal hotel is the Red Lotus Society. The information for the Red Lotus Society is as follows:
